Attending a public meeting to articulate issues that affect us as women is much more important than protocol.Manipulation is clearly defined and exhibited when one decides to walk out of a meeting affecting us as women.
It boggles the mind to think that quite a number of a certain political party 'sympathisers' as i would call them walked out of a WIPSU discussion on the draft constitution this week because the chair failed to acknowledge their presence.Maybe there was need to conscientise the women of the theme and agenda of the meeting, since chances are that they were not aware of the purpose.
Thumbs up to women such as Hon Misihairabwi for the words"We need to bury our political hatchets and ensure that we are active in defining our destiny as women, girls and for the sake of our children and future generation."
Instead of walking out, i would have thought that amplifying our voices as one stands to be the critical  issue ahead of protocol. Unity of purpose in the constitution making process is much more important than the much prevalent and visible political bickering.
